Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Honors Medical Staff Members on National Doctors’ Day With Donation to “Bluff Strong”

POPLAR BLUFF, MO – In honor of its medical staff, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center has donated $6,000 to the Butler County Disaster Relief Effort “Bluff Strong” to aid recovery following the recent tornado that impacted the area. The donation was made to commemorate Doctors’ Day, which is celebrated on March 30th to acknowledge the contributions of doctors and medical staff to patients and the community.
Instead of accepting customary Doctors’ Day tokens of appreciation from the hospital, physicians on the medical staff chose to support Bluff Strong and help the many residents in need of assistance. Bluff Strong is dedicated to providing resources and support to those affected, including shelter, essential supplies, and long-term recovery efforts.
“Doctors’ Day is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of our medical staff, and this year, they chose to honor that commitment by giving back to the community we serve,” said Clyde Wood, CEO. “We are proud of their generosity and compassion, and we hope this contribution will make a meaningful impact on the recovery process.”
The donation underscores the hospital’s ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of the Poplar Bluff community and surrounding areas. In addition to financial support, the medical center remains dedicated to providing safe, quality care to those in need.
