New Physician Assistant Joins the Medical Staff at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center

POPLAR BLUFF, MO, January 11, 2023 – Kristin Shelton, physician assistant, has joined the medical staff of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Shelton will join the practice of Regional Physician Services Gastroenterology Clinic. She previously worked with PBRMC as a certified nursing assistant and with a medical clinic in Jonesboro, AR.

“We are excited to add Kristin to our GI provider team. She is a patient-first and quality-driven provider that will instantly impact the community through her caring and compassionate practice style,” CEO Clyde Wood said. “Through this clinic, we’re able to expand access to GI care in our community.”

Shelton received her Master of Medical Sciences from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN, and her Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.

“I was drawn to GI because of the wide range of acute and chronic diseases the GI team treats in the inpatient and outpatient setting.” Shelton said. “I was born and raised in Poplar Bluff and getting the opportunity to serve the community that raised me is a dream come true!”

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and weight lifting.
