1/31/2025
POPLAR BLUFF, MO – Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center (PBRMC) is announcing a series of initiatives throughout February in celebration of Heart Month, aimed at raising awareness about cardiovascular health and empowering our community to take proactive steps toward a heart-healthy lifestyle.
“As we celebrate Heart Month, we are reminded of the profound impact heart health has on individuals and families throughout our community,” said Clyde Wood, CEO of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. “We are dedicated to providing our community with advanced heart care services, from prevention and diagnosis to treatments and rehabilitation.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, making it vital to educate and engage the community.
"I see firsthand the impact that heart disease can have on individuals and their families. The good news is that many cardiovascular conditions are preventable with proactive steps like maintaining a healthy diet, staying active, and knowing your numbers,” said Dr. Roland Njoh, Interventional Cardiologist with Regional Physician Services. “During Heart Month, I encourage everyone to prioritize their heart health and take advantage of the resources available to support a longer, healthier life."
This February, PBRMC will focus on prevention, education, and action through a lineup of events and programs designed to make a lasting impact.
